Welcome to the start of Term 2! We are only three weeks in and already we have begun with the cycle of assessments, revision, studying and for our Year 3’s, 5’s, 7’s and 9’s – we have also just hit the ground running with NAPLAN.

After brainstorming with our team of tutors and speaking to our parents and students, we have come to realise the different needs that our tools and resources can provide to students across all year levels. In particular, we have looked at different ways that we can improve what we do to suit the busy lives of our students. We have also reviewed and revised the teaching methods we use to see what is most effective and which techniques students find most rewarding.

This has lead us to our online library of resources and tools…please have a read around and let us know what you think!

The first is online essay and assessment reviews. We understand that students might not be able to commit to the weekly tutoring sessions however still desire another pair of eyes to read over their assessment or guide them in the right direction. This is where our different essay review packages are able to satisfy this need. With our three different tiers, it allows the student to pick which they are after based on the task, stage and time they have available. By providing this service online we are able to overcome time restrains, geographic location and excessive costs to provide our students with the help they are after. Our tutors have all completed the relevant subjects (both for Years 7-10 and through to HSC subjects) so they are able to provide first hand feedback about what the markers are looking for. They can also provide other help such as structure, presentation and overall comments about the piece of work and how to best prepare for the assessment.

Our years of experience and shared passion for helping students has also allowed us to devise a range of online study notes, tips and tricks that are available for download. These begin at the most fundamental aspect of Preliminary and HSC study notes for a number of different subjects. The notes are structured per topic, have a number of examples and are a useful way to begin studying for exams and assessments.

We also have number of other notes for download including essay planning table, creative writing pointers and our comments on how to best prepare for assessments. In addition, we have put together other resources (due the high recommendation of our students!) such as a study timetable which aims to fill in the learning gaps that students might have.

We hope that you get the most out of these tools and resources and we would love to hear your feedback and comments about them and any suggestions or requests you have for further notes.
