We all lead busy lives. There is no doubt about that. In fact, we almost live in a community where busy is the new normal. You’re not busy? Something must be wrong with you!

All jokes aside, our busy lives come sometimes mean that something has to give. Between running from school pick up and drop off, to extra circular activities to spending some family time together it can all become a little too much!

That’s why here at Tutoring4All we understand the busy lives of our parents and students but believe there is a way we can make tutoring more accessible, so it doesn’t have to be the thing that misses out!

In order to give our students and parents the best experience, we offer our services to occur at your home or local library – or even another location of your choice. Some of tutors visit their student’s at their parent’s place of work because this is what works best. This flexibility means that its one less drop off and pick up to worry about and you can rely on the trustworthiness of our tutors to visit you at the time and place as organised.

We also find that this helps our students as they feel comfortable in their own environment as they learn to feel at ease in their study space. It is important for students to find a distinct place in the home where they have tutoring and study because this helps the brain to associate this specific area as a place of concentration and focus. If possible, we always recommend to our students to separate their study area from their sleeping areas or relaxing areas to avoid sending the brain mixed messages. Once they sit at their study place, the brain subconsciously realises that it is time to apply their full attention and engage in the task at hand. Just like when the brain knows its sleep time when it enters the bedroom as it associates this room with clam and relax, the equivalent feelings will develop in response to a designated study area.

Having a designated space is also helpful for our senior students as they start to commit different parts of their content to memory. For example, the Maths and Science syllabuses asks for various formulas to be memorised. The language subjects require that grammar rules are committed to memory and certain historical facts must also be remembered. By having a certain study area, our students are encouraged to create visual posters and flash cards which they can place on their walls. This will provide for another means of visual study and overall contribute to achieving their goals!

If you think you or your child could benefit from home tutoring, feel free to get in touch any time. We have a range of tutors available at different time to come and visit and help. They can also help find that specific area and set it up to ensure that study time is well spent.
